Month, Day: 167, Speech, Grandeur (Independence)
Can anyone really claim to be an autodidact? That is, be mentor-less during development.
Well, not really, except for the Manifestation. Then, all else have some type of mentor or another. That, essentially, is God's system.
Now, we know, too, about Independent Investigation of the Truth and its important role (Questions is coming up soon). So, there must be some usefulness for autodidact-ism.
What about this being a counter balance to central tendencies? What is that and those? Something that will be discussed further while pursuing the enlightenment quest.
Remarks:
04/04/2011 -- We'll be looking at things like foreknowledge.
12/05/2010 -- Is it not true that extreme positions on the axis of the mindful can lead to a god-like state-fulness?
11/27/2010 -- One thrust will be to look at the Manifestation's relationship to history. That will consider more than the issue of return, albeit this concept is very important.

Development
Month, Day: 167, Power, Speech (Justice)
As we look at what science can know, plus knowing our twin duties, we need to consider what humans bring forth and what this means to a more full worldview. Then, given that, knowing how to develop the proper attributes will follow.
Remarks:
05/26/2011 -- A 'super' position can have merit.
12/05/2010 -- Is it not true that extreme positions on the axis of the mindful can lead to a god-like state-fulness?
11/21/2010 -- We can make a separation between content and package. That is, we do this from an Operational motive, just to handle difficulty. But, any type of separation is arbitrary; too, such is natural to intelligence; hence, we see interminable conflicts in human affairs. Even when we try to combine things back, which is done via closures (applying compactification, if you would), it is an endless game due to the complexity. That, folks, is our bane of having human spirit. But, from whence is the spirit of faith supposed to get its inspiration and motivation? Ah! That is one theme that we'll be expanding upon. But, for now, consider the implications of SAQ #45: That is to say, that as the supreme Manifestations certainly possess essential infallibility, therefore whatever emanates from Them is identical with the truth, and conformable to reality.
11/20/2010 -- SAQ #55 applies. Simple enough. We can test the spirit of faith. How? Well, do you want all the answers? Questions is coming up. But, here's a hint, though. Do not the brights demonstrate the human spirit (that is, mind)? Wait, that is still an issue to some? Conundrum follows? Maybe not.

Manifestation
Month, Day: 167, Power, Names (Independence)
Last time, we considered the notion of what science can know about the Manifestation. Do not expect that the answer is categorically 'not much' before some discussion.
In the SAQ, Part Three is apropos to the topic. There are ten Chapters related to the subject. #37 (pg 148) and #45 (pg 173) have the topological theme that we'll get back to since it's essential. #40 talks knowledge (first of the Twin Duties). As we see it practiced now, science mainly deals with one of these.
Audacity says, we need to look at this otherwise.
Remarks:
11/16/2010 -- We looked at this a couple of years ago under Belief and delusion. Obviously, a major contingent within science wants delusion to be the case. Yet, the otherwise can be demonstrated. The question? To what extent in the public manner required by science? Well, it's a foundational issue.

Power of science
Month, Day: 167, Power, Splendour (Majesty)
We're in the Motivational period for 167. Remember, we started with the Transcendent, then had the Teleological, and just finished the Operational. This period will end with Honour, at which point we'll start the Ascendant toward the refreshing of the next year.
---
Had thought to use capital 'S' but did not for reasons that may be of interest at some point.
We are to know, and obey, the Manifestations who inform us by Writings, their Selves, and their System. That is the personal motivation.
Now, we apply science to tear things down, looking for truth, with an associated task of putting things back together.
What can science tell us about the Manifestation?
Discussion of these types of items will continue throughout Power and the Motivational period.
Remarks:
11/16/2010 -- What can science know?
11/05/2010 -- We are encouraged to excel at what we do, that is, God likes people to vie, peacefully. (If God has so willed, He might have made you a single community, but [He has not done so] that He might test you in what He has given you; so compete in goodness. Qu'ran, 5:48) Progress comes from that. So, can applying Principles from the Faith improve the scientific process and its results? One way that this could happen would be insights obtained via the principles. Have we seen that yet?

Benevolence
Month, Day: 167, Knowledge, Knowledge (Justice)
We have looked, briefly, at the first three of the series: concupiscence, irascibility, inspiration. Now, we are to the phase (what else?) of benevolence. And, as with the first three being related to the corresponding of the Seven Valleys, we can look at the Valley of Unity. It's a transitional Valley. Those above Contentment are beyond words; yes, there is a stress on action with Search implying the need for inexhaustible efforts (NP is one lesson).
---
As an aside, we're into the last month of the Operational (action?) group. What have we learned this year? We'll have to pause to collect some of the lessons. For one, a focus entirely on agents, while undervaluing the need for a system view, is not smart. Yet, certain views behind capitalism's shroud (the exploiters) have done just that (lazy fare is the watchword for this view). One of my efforts is to resurrect Adam Smith and David Hume within a modern scheme that would allow for dealings that are fair, just, and more.
---
No one is infallible, all powerful, or any of the other attributes that are associated with the Station of the Manifestation which is beyond our comprehension. The Station is not beyond our reflection; such considerations may very well contain what we need to establish a more firm basis. (see SAQ #37)
Actually, that we have a Manifestation, periodically, is a huge demonstration of benevolence. Yet, what percentage of that effort, mental and physical, aggregated each day on the earth has any direct connection to the knowledge (let alone, the Twin Duties) of the Manifestation?
---
If one said all effort, well, that would be true, but it ignores the wasteful expenditure of energy. Would a proper view be well-balanced, such as being the greenest of green (due to proper motivation?)?
---
One motivation here, anticipating the Motivational Group up next with Power, has been human development. There are many things to consider. For one, can the Writings provide a basis for trying to understand the process and to guide experimental efforts? Such has been asked several times as an underlying theme for Audacity.
Remarks:
10/29/2010 -- What role is there for mathematics in the larger scope? It seems to have become an oracle (and more) for scientism.
