Lessons via Hands

Month, Day: 170, Grandeur, Names (Glory)

Last year, we had the Master's visit (celebration thereof) to recall and learn from, in our own ways. Being an American Baha'i, reading about the travels was particularly inspiring. Having spent most of my life in the western part of the U.S., that portion of the visit was especially wonderful to read about using the new forms of presentation. I posted related blog posts during the period, last year.

Let us remind ourselves that the western expansion from the eastern start (early 17th century) is a large part of the history of the country. The Master sojourned, for the most part, in the former. There are lessons from that. The western jaunt could be thought of as whirlwind.

That is, in terms of physical size, the west hold many multiples of the little eastern region. 100 years ago, of course, the east had the majority of the population. We'll get back to this theme, as America's role (potential) requires a good re-look.

Aside: There will be some flavoring of audacity as the theme expands.

Thinking about the congruences, in space, with the visit that was celebrated last year, and lessons thereof, got me to consider a couple of other lessons. Both of these resulted from being in close proximity of a Hands (Zikrullah Khadem and Abu'l-Qasim Faizi). Note, that proximity does not imply social interaction; I was in the room where they (different calendar days) were giving a talk (and meeting audience members). In both cases, I was puzzled. Mr. Faizi's lesson was more immediately apparent, yet the context/content could be looked at further. Mr. Khadem's was a little more perplexing, at the time and for awhile afterward, since it was more personally oriented. With the passing of time, several things to discuss stand out.

You see, these occurrences were 40+ years ago when I was much younger. Too, there are still lessons for us to learn from those times. Perhaps, the boomers getting to retirement age will bring out some of this, including the approaching 50th year look-back.

We'll get to the lessons and what they mean, later.

For now, let's just say that the Hands of the Cause had talents out of the normal related to their role which was limited by point of time.

Aside (from earlier post): The blogger has been, during his times, in all of the cities visited by the Master in the U.S. though not always being aware that there had been the Presence. So, it's not like a pilgrimage, but there is a record of this in memory and on the ether. Serendipitous convergence, somewhat. -- Addition -- There are patterns, that will relate to cosmology, which can only be understood (perceived?) from the context of the Writings. How will this work (do not limit consideration to the propositional)?

Remarks:

05/25/2013 -- The approach is somewhat similar to writing about inspirational, or interesting, characters met, and such. The context would be of the Faith's Basis.
