St. Paul

Month, Day: 170, Beauty, Power (Independence)

I ran across Paul in a research context. Like I usually do, I went to the Scriptures (and their milieu) to see how Paul fared post Biblical times. As in, yes, how he has carried forward.

Well, evidently, Paul is considered bad by some in Islam. You can search for that.

In Baha'i? There are references. The strongest are in the SAQ (6 hits). But, one worth pondering is in Selections from the Writings of 'Abdu'l-Baha, the section on "References to the Qu'ran." As in, #189: One’s conduct must be like the conduct of Paul, and one’s faith similar to that of Peter. This musk-scented breeze shall perfume the nostrils of the people of the world, and this spirit shall resuscitate the dead.

Got that? Conduct like Paul; faith like Peter.

Now, let's proceed to another mention of Paul. Epistle to the Son of Wolf, pg 91: In the Epistle to the Romans Saint Paul hath written: “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God.” And further: “For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” He saith that the appearance of the kings, and their majesty and power are of God.

It's good to see some Christian knowledge come forward.
