Meaning of life

Month, Day: 166, Sovereignty, Names (Justice)
Month, Day: 166, Sovereignty, Will (Independence)

The Ascendant group corresponds to the time of looking forward to thaws and longer days.

The change in the Mystical teachings subsection is interesting, for several reasons, including Audacity.

So, notions about Return are really about recurrence which we see everywhere. Notions of 'reincarnation' may relate to lessons taught by thermodynamics.

In essence, science is how we learn what God wants us to know.

Return, again

Month, Day: 166, Sovereignty, Glory (Justice)

Ah, the Ascendant group.

We've looked at return (supported, see Iqan) and reincarnation (not supported, see SAQ #82). Now, we'll take it further.

The chief problem with science, to be be addressed, is pre-existence. What was before the big bang?

SAQ #80: This is the beginning and the end of the Word of God, Who says: “I am Alpha and Omega”; for He is the beginning and the end of Bounty. The Creator always had a creation; the rays have always shone and gleamed from the reality of the sun, for without the rays the sun would be opaque darkness. The names and attributes of God require the existence of beings, and the Eternal Bounty does not cease. If it were to, it would be contrary to the perfections of God.

Now, of course, cosmology's arguments are mathematically based, so we'll start there. Naturally, we'll eventually get to quasi-empiricism (by necessity) but not yet.

As an aside, we can show both evolution and multiple universes, easily, yet the Key is the issue.

Remarks:

01/25/2011 -- What would be a comprehensive view of this phenomenon?

12/05/2010 -- Is it not true that extreme positions on the axis of the mindful can lead to a god-like state-fulness?

01/26/2010 -- Of note: Twin duties, Free will, Return, Operational time.

Singleness

Month, Day: 166, Honour, Dominion (Beauty)

Let's be more specific, conceptually, and the details will follow. Return is addressed several places. Are allusions implied? Yes and no, as it depends. That we see recurrence of a nature that science ignores is the key issue. Everyone can see these things as they will.

Now, taking the thought further, we need to look at the arguments against reincarnation. This does not mean to argue against any one's belief. It basically is provided for its potential for explaining some things that seem to antithetical to scientism.

SAQ #82: The first argument for its impossibility is that the outward is the expression of the inward; the earth is the mirror of the Kingdom; the material world corresponds to the spiritual world. Now observe that in the sensible world appearances are not repeated, for no being in any respect is identical with, nor the same as, another being. The sign of singleness is visible and apparent in all things. If all the granaries of the world were full of grain, you would not find two grains absolutely alike, the same and identical without any distinction.

Consider this. The growth of our prowess with abstraction (nonsense, to certain views) has led us along perdition-bound paths to the detriment of all. That the best and brightest have been allowed to game finance into an unbalanced state rests more on the complexities brought by computation, and its mathematical basis, than on mere human frailties. We can correct this.

Too, abstraction's gift to science is similar and has led to a divergence from reality and knowledge. Strong statement, I know. We can support it fully. So, we know that God controls creation; yet, that operational method is not mathematically founded. Not in the usual sense that is commonly accepted.

Not only are things different at the meta-atomic level, so too are they atomically, and perhaps below. The consequence? A type of memory that, when we learn how to use it, can phenomenally change our lives.

We've see the 'sun' in the atom (Seven Valleys). We have not, yet, seen this force. Know what? Its use will not be as readily found as was that in the 1940's use of atomic power. Too, it'll require human interaction; therefore, any with notions of the isolation of the best and brightest (we've seen this start with the financial imbalance) will be counter productive.

How long will this all take? It'll probably be beyond my time; yet, I can express the main component of the basis - psychether.

There you have it, folks.

Afterword: We have only 1 more day before the Ascendants begin our climb to the New Year and the energy burst.

Remarks:

01/25/2012 -- Yes, still at it. Ready to be more audacious. What we're looking for has to do with mind; at some point, it will be allowed by science that we can observe effects (actually, predict, to boot - one step forward will be a more insightful mathematics).

05/17/2011 -- Stephen gets press.

05/09/2011 -- We need a constructive re-look.

Knowledge of God

Month, Day: 166, Honour, Honour (Independence)

The first thing to consider is that we can have this knowledge, even the brights. Then, one needs to consider how free will plays into this, as at any time we have choices.

SAQ #59: The knowledge of the Reality of the Divinity is impossible and unattainable, but the knowledge of the Manifestations of God is the knowledge of God, for the bounties, splendors and divine attributes are apparent in Them. Therefore, if man attains to the knowledge of the Manifestations of God, he will attain to the knowledge of God; and if he be neglectful of the knowledge of the Holy Manifestations, he will be bereft of the knowledge of God. It is then ascertained and proved that the Holy Manifestations are the center of the bounty, signs and perfections of God.

So, we see one role of the Manifestation, that is, being how we know God. We'll leave it at that, for now; just remember that there are two duties.

From an Operational sense, we do seek understanding. For this, there are ways to use thought experiments that are action oriented.

Remarks:

05/17/2011 -- Stephen gets press.

05/09/2011 -- We need a constructive re-look.

03/17/2011 -- Just as St. Patrick carried the message, so too ought we act to bring forth a proper viewpoint.

01/17/2010 -- We must consider how Creation manifests 'singleness' from inward out. That is, we can know God through science.

Free will

Month, Day: 166, Honour, Knowledge (Perfection)

Since we're in the last of the Motivational group and considering the phenomenon of the Manifestation, free will needs to come up, albeit briefly.

SAQ #70: Some things are subject to the free will of man, such as justice, equity, tyranny and injustice, in other words, good and evil actions; it is evident and clear that these actions are, for the most part, left to the will of man. ... though the choice of good and evil belongs to man, under all circumstances he is dependent upon the sustaining help of life, which comes from the Omnipotent.

Last time, we looked at how things are, by design, underdetermined. Pascal's argument was brought up which implies some type of choice is possible. Of course, we need to use our will to make a choice.

It's funny how patterns seem to recur within human affairs that may indicate some type of non-choice. Habitual actions, for example. Yet, not necessarily of habit, as a pattern might just exemplify some best choice. There is a lot to consider.

For example, given all the troubles of human affairs, can we expect that we could handle things on our own? Or just let the elapse of long time frames and random workings attempt some rectification?

No, we get direct involvement in ways that are not understood. Perhaps, if we tried - and this is audacity, we could grasp some things, such as Knowledge of God.

Underdetermination

Month, Day: 166, Honour, Names (Independence)

Of course, the question here is: can we move away from having the underdetermined abound around us?

SAQ #83: Therefore, there is no standard in the hands of people upon which we can rely.
Hubris is one reason for not accepting an extension of the Incompleteness Theorem. Pure operational confidence is another. Yet, many flounder. That is, even of the brights, we would probably find a substantial number who would accept that the best stance is what Pascal described so aptly, not the more in-your-face stance that has been so vehemently offered, of late.

The Key will continued to be explored both in attribute and utility.

Aside: Of late, there has been interest in planets nearly like the earth. There was a point in time when such comments would have been verboten. But, science and the related views do change as facts firm up.

Remarks:

01/25/2012 -- Yes, still at it. Ready to be more audacious. What we're looking for has to do with mind; at some point, it will be allowed by science that we can observe effects (actually, predict, to boot - one step forward will be a more insightful mathematics).

The Key

Month, Day: 166, Honour, Words (Justice)

As said before, there will be a focused effort on bringing an understanding to the philosophy of science regarding the spiritual. That is, we need more than a mere operational stance, as this notion is a primal issue.

Firstly, we know that there is the knowledge. The boom in scientific coverage over Creation the past two hundred years is full of examples, and there is more to come.

Aqdas #14: Thus doth the Lord make plain the ways of truth and guidance, ways that lead to one way, which is this Straight Path. Render thanks unto God for this most gracious favour; offer praise unto Him for this bounty that hath encompassed the heavens and the earth; extol Him for this mercy that hath pervaded all creation.

Secondly, there is the 'key' which has more than an intellectual, or contemplative, role. Of course, one can point to the individual's ideals and improvements as being important. Yet, the sum of humanity's attributes, of any sort, are not the whole of much. This we need to demonstrate as clearly as were Euclid's notions (why go back that far? a counterbalance to the girth of abstract nonsense).

Aqdas #15: Say: God hath made My hidden love the key to the Treasure; would that ye might perceive it! But for the key, the Treasure would to all eternity have remained concealed; would that ye might believe it!

Finally, explicit plunking of this as a factor is not what we're talking either. Rather, in the Writings are embedded what is necessary for the proper basis. Our task? Again, to demonstrate this, partly by character and also by insight.

Aqdas, Notes #23: Wishing to reveal Thyself, Thou didst call into being the Greater and the Lesser Worlds, and didst choose Man above all Thy creatures, and didst make Him a sign of both of these worlds, O Thou Who art our Lord, the Most Compassionate! Thou didst raise Him up to occupy Thy throne before all the people of Thy creation. Thou didst enable Him to unravel Thy mysteries, and to shine with the lights of Thine inspiration and Thy Revelation, and to manifest Thy names and Thine attributes. Through Him Thou didst adorn the preamble of the book of Thy creation, O Thou Who art the Ruler of the universe Thou hast fashioned!

As one looks at the arguments of the brights, and others, the notion of the looming giant abounds, even if it is just done as an allusion (and even unconsciously). Now, that thinking of the avatar of everything has the corollary of trashing the small and the weak. Too, it's part of the mistake of thinking that the return of the Prophet will be with glory and power and military might which is really antithetical to Christ's Reality.

Also, we were told, more than once, that all can witness God's influence in their lives (Iqan #233: The understanding of His words and the comprehension of the utterances of the Birds of Heaven are in no wise dependent upon human learning. They depend solely upon purity of heart, chastity of soul, and freedom of spirit.). In fact, some of the more lowly are of a greater stature, in to-be-described spaces, than those whose facilities with processing data (sense, language, and such) are superior. Actually, those who excel at the sensual (of a connotation far beyond the mere erotic, folks) do have analogs in the animal kingdom.

To be bold, it is the best and brightest to which that refers who essentially screw up the world with their machinations. The financial downturn is a recent example. There are too many to describe here. Plus, the adage of the sin-covering eye probably kicks in. Counter to that, though, is protecting the innocent, weak, and innumeracy'd.

That, folks, is the role of the autodidact (Independent Investigation of the Truth). And, have a Creation-based framework is one item to discuss.

Aside: The financial mess came from two things: human frailities and computation. Now, the first is age-old (why else the need for the Manifestation to return?). The second is new and not very well understood. Its basis is largely undecidable, yet many of the best and brightest do not accept that. Hubris? Too, computation is easily manipulated, analogous to the adage about the capability of statistics of being used to support any argument. Hence, market frameworks, that would not exist without the computational advances, can be gamed (and they are, folks). Regulators and administrators (read the political realm) are powerless to handle the complications. So, the affairs will remain messy. Question? Where are the Baha'i economists, and bankers, talking the proper view? Staying mum due to not having mastered the realm (dismal that it is) is no excuse, as understanding is not possible (von Neumann said that about mathematics); the 4th Valley's allusions (Were all the denizens of earth and heaven to unravel this shining allusion, this darksome riddle, until the Day when the Trumpet soundeth, yet would they fail to comprehend even a letter thereof, for this is the station of God’s immutable decree, His foreordained mystery. Hence, when searchers inquired of this, He made reply, “This is a bottomless sea which none shall ever fathom.” And they asked again, and He answered, “It is the blackest of nights through which none can find his way.” ) are supportive of that notion. We'll be going into these types of concrete issues more often in 2010. Why cannot the Faith be used to found a more stable structure? Economic, that is, not militarily supported power. And, economic is a more
