Light!!

Month, Day: Light, Splendour (Majesty)

This is a simple little comment about this Attribute which comes after Those which are hard for us to fathom. Light brings forth the operational, which we'll get into more deeply.

But, think of the year as descending and ascending; cycles are waves, so to speak. Then, we could use a pairing like shown in this image.There are other combinations. Also, this leaves out the Intercalary period.

But, going further, see how this month would pair with Questions which is the greatest of bounties, in my mind. We don't have answers. That right there has tremendous implications for science as we have seen it pursued to date and can pertain to what Baha'i input can impact.

Too, that we have Speech is, in part, a Mercy, yet we can take it to far (fire that cannot be put out). Again, and in reference to the prior comment, Words relate to Power.

This was done by chart on the old Yahyay19 (AOL). There is a way to see a complete sine wave within the year with Might as the transition point. From another view, we're dealing with a helix.

Remarks:

07/26/2009 -- The Operational times will be fun.

05/29/2009 -- The Transcendent baffles.

Cycles 2

Month, Day: Grandeur, Honour

Continuing with moments and cycles.

we have cycles with us no matter how we try;
to grasp the upswing portions and make them last;
cycles exist and have effect on us until the day we die;
and, are they in the Kingdom to which we hope to pass?

------

... K43 (Aqdas) says:

Lament not in your hours of trial, neither rejoice
therein; seek ye the Middle Way which is the
remembrance of Me in your afflictions and reflection
over that which may befall you in future.

------

we can use these cycles to learn better the ways to cope;
especially for those times when we think we see the end of the rope;
as, not only are we not alone when the tribulations settle;
but roughing the trough is a way for us to know our mettle;

now, many troughs are terrible and are not very nice;
and no one wishes for any of these without thinking twice;
but no trough is forever nor is it a bottomless pit;
some seem so like bouncing from the Light to the other side of it;

Cycles 1

Month, Day: Grandeur, Beauty (Beauty)

Continuing with cycles, and the related moments, will lead, eventually, to discussion about what this all means for Faith and Science, of course, 'science' denoting a more full discipline that is topsy turvy visa vie modern use.

---
we have many, many cycles in the things that we do;
like when we breathe or blink and even when we chew;
there are many such cycles that are carried by our feet;
let's not forget the heart with its quiet and faithful beat;

some cycles seem more important than others, we know;
yet, these are all under guidance and control by our Soul;
even when they might seem to be more influenced by matter;
such as when we over exert or have too much on the platter;

we must map out and study ourselves and our wonderful terrain;
which to the materialistic bent is only controlled by our brain;
not so, we must tell them, as the Spirit is the force;
we can make this so plain that they say, but, of course;

---

many cycles are external to us
and are not about ourselves;
such as when our grocer serves us
by stocking his teeming shelves;
there are many examples to use
and too many for me to say;
just be thankful for the infrastructure
that supports your passing day;

---

some cycles are too tiny for us
but we know that they are there;
such as when your cells do their fixup
on your DNA that might need repair;
and there are cycles far beyond
the things that we might ever see;
but we know that they do their work
otherwise how could anything ever be;

---

our duty is to show;
and help others to know;
that the Spirit is the force;
keeping things to their course;
knowing even to a feather on a sparrow's head;
that without this Grace things appear as dead;

Any moment

Month, Day: Grandeur, Glory (Beauty)

Resurrection has started on former attempts at conveying thoughts via poesy (and prose). These will come back alive in this and other forms with updates from a decade of independent study.

The below example is apropos to one of the themes of the first post that suggested how moments arise and pass (cycles and cycles). Apologies, of course, to Wordsworth et al.

we have cycles and cycles and cycles again;
the Principals said that they would never end;
the Baha'is facing the world daily as they ought;
should give these more than just a passing thought;

day to day these cycles need to be reviewed;
as the look at our actions each day is renewed;
the Twin Figures gave us a change in the old pace;
let us not forget that while we are in this place;

so we have 24 and 7 and 19 and much more;
always coming and going so that we do not adore;

any moment any more than any other in the collection;
as each is the whole can be seen with proper reflection;

each new week now starts with the older time rest day;
with two days that help us get each week on the way;
each day is rightfully given its very own nature and name;
if we miss the message on whom can we put the blame;

Remarks:

07/03/2018 -- The discussion will continue under psychether.

12/05/2010 -- Need to add that, for some views, the cycles ended. This site will be used for the main Islamic information source, for awhile.

7V and 4V

Month, Day: Beauty, Honour (Grace)

Posts have looked briefly at how we know, what we can know, and why we want to know.

A Baha'i ontology can be established upon the Writings. We can do well to start with the 7V, 4V, and the Hidden Words, though these are only a few items in whole ocean.

This image suggests ways to begin the exploration using the 7 Valleys. Being factors highly in those beyond the bridge of Unity.

The 4 Valleys can be used to demonstrate a type of progression that can map to developmental states of a worldview or cosmology (a ‘kind’ so to speak). We will be looking at each in more detail.
1- Trust yourself
("Read thy Book: There needeth none but thyself to make out an account against thee this day"). The basic foundation is that standing within is the “The Self of God standing within Him with laws” ("Hereafter We will show them Our signs in the regions of the earth, and in themselves, until it become manifest unto them that it is the truth") that can be queried (see below). That is, we can know; but, decisions and actions are required too (be not like the grammarian lost in his ponderings). The goal is to have a “self that is well-pleasing unto God ... be ye not like those who forget God.”

2 - Reason
("this is the station of primal reason"). Given that we can know (a kind of axiomatic/assumptive basis), then reason is necessary. The prime metaphor is the Surah of the Cave (implying space, motion - perhaps even a Principle vector).

3 - Imagine
("This realm is not to be pictured in words"). (Imagination is more important than knowledge - Albert E). This brings into play all sorts of questions about being (phenomenalism, Hegel, etc.). Other concepts are “Love, chargers, His musky hair, the cyclic scheme,…” It is said that this realm involves the ‘bright stream of fellowship” (teams, peer reviews, etc.). The structure for knowing must be shared to be effective. "On this plane, neither the reign of reason is sufficient nor the authority of self."

4 - Be Humble ("Herein the high heavens are in no conflict with the lowly earth, nor do they seek to excel it, for this is the land of mercy, not the realm of distinction"). Yet, eventually those in the realm have to deal with a “bottomless sea” and the “blackest of night” yet balance the state of “full awareness’ and of “utter self-effacement.” The key: Obey Me and I will make you like unto Myself. I say Be and it Is. You will say Be and it will be. So, we don't really know our limits in terms of knowledge or what we can create. That is, there are limits, but they're infinite (albeit a lesser infinite than the Tree beyond which there is no passing).
Remarks:

04/09/2016 -- We had a triple day, earlier, due to the new definitions.

07/27/2009 -- These themes are important to audacity's work.
