Month, Day: 179, Splendour, Glory (Contentment)

This is a continuation from a bit of work in 2009. Why October? Far enough in the year to have seen the sweep around the bottom, Names, Might, Will and upward via Knowledge and beyond. Mostly, the 'yearly measure' does not diminish through the activities of the year. 

Adqas, #111: 

• Happy the one who entereth upon the first day of the month of Bahá, the day which God hath consecrated to this Great Name. And blessed be he who evidenceth on this day the bounties that God hath bestowed upon him; he, verily, is of those who show forth thanks to God through actions betokening the Lord’s munificence which hath encompassed all the worlds. Say: This day, verily, is the crown of all the months and the source thereof, the day on which the breath of life is wafted over all created things. Great is the blessedness of him who greeteth it with radiance and joy. We testify that he is, in truth, among those who are blissful.

Italics/bold is mine. This, about yesterday. 

We are in the Transcendent but can be thinking of the Operational. Working model:

• God/Manifestation (see Writings)
• Creation/Covenant (Master, Guardian)
• Philosophy/Mathematics (our knowingness, human creativity)
• Others (Unity, necessary realization, significance)
• Philosophy/Mathematics (applied, operational, mechanical)
• Technology (abilities and artifacts)
• Evolution (energy)

Every month, we visit the Attributes.

Competition

Month, Day: 178, Loftiness, Dominion (Glory)

Koran (64:93, The Believers: 

• God hath not begotten offspring; neither is there any other God with Him: else had each god assuredly taken away that which he had created, and some had assuredly uplifted themselves above others! Far from the glory of God, be what they affirm of Him!

Again

 Month, Day: 178, Loftiness, Sovereignty (Independence)

Earlier, we considered at the Month and its Days where we can look across the way and see the nuances of coming and going. So, that was, mostly, reflecting on Light <-> Questions. The former? Teleological. The latter? Basis of science and knowledge acquisition. Or, Names <-> Will. Being and its actions. 

But, the demarcations are loose, so we could have Grandeur, Light, Mercy <-> Questions. Or, its inverse of Mercy <-> Power, Speech, Questions. 

No end to the mappings. The issue revolves around determining influences as they relate to choices. 

So, we approach an end and start again.

Month and day

 Month, Day: 178, Loftiness, Light (Beauty)

We seem to like Sunday for posts. This is a look-back to the post-Fast period last year: Monthly reflect. Following that, we are at Light ==> Questions. 

As mentioned, it is hard to grasp Transcendent and Ascendant, though there are many ways that we will approach this in terms of the balance of religion and science. Teleological, Operational, and Motivational deal closely with our daily lives and lots of things like efficacy. 

That transition of Names, Might, and Will is right there with respect to time and evolution in all of its aspects. The use of evolution is broad and pertains to progress through time as we deal with matter (and energy). Computational systems are a late example. 

The importance? Let's say, AIn't. Yet, it is, as we need to learn more about intelligence, of ourselves, animals and all other creatures. Human talents are still being left undiscovered. Without a change at the core, that lack of sight will continue.

The unfoldment

Month, Day: 178, 3rd of 5, Intercalary Day (Beauty)

We have been pursuing the Guardian's Word Order of Baha'u'llah of late, after a bit of time spent with the Koran (Rodwell's). Along that vein, we are also studying the interplay with science and religion as one might observe in today's world. Science is still being defined; religion has been ongoing. 

The following comes from the section titled "The Unfoldment of World Civilization" and its subsection "Deterioration of Christian Institutions":

The indwelling Spirit of God which, in the Apostolic Age of the Church, animated its members, the pristine purity of its teachings, the primitive brilliancy of its light, will, no doubt, be reborn and revived as the inevitable consequence of this redefinition of its fundamental verities, and the clarification of its original purpose. 

For the Faith of Bahá’u’lláh—if we would faithfully appraise it—can never, and in no aspect of its teachings, be at variance, much less conflict, with the purpose animating, or the authority invested in, the Faith of Jesus Christ.
