Might of Mercy

Month, Day: 167, Mercy, Might (Glory)

From two years ago, we can see the theme of this day.

The transition that occurs before the end of Light can be palpable using various metaphors: clouds covering the burning sun, bountiful rain falling over the parched earth, and such.

As alluded to earlier, there are inflection points, namely the origin (Splendour of Splendour), the apex (Sovereignty of Light), and two more (Honour of Might, Might of Questions).

We ought to pay attention (cycle-wise) to the period before and after these events, as there are significances.

Congruences

Month, Day: 167, Light, Speech (Independence)

So many things to ponder, such as congruences. There are many of these. Of note, to the Teleological theme, is the minor and major overlap of calendars: fifth month of Light starting on the fifth day of June and the eight month of Perfection starting with the eight month of August.

But, the brights (ought there be a category?) have their focus leaving a whole realm to audacity.

SAQ (#42): The enlightenment of the world of thought comes from these centers of light and sources of mysteries. Without the bounty of the splendor and the instructions of these Holy Beings the world of souls and thoughts would be opaque darkness.

Of course, there will be limits to how much science can study the Manifestation.

SAQ (#45): In short, the meaning of “He doeth whatsoever He willeth” is that if the Manifestation says something, or gives a command, or performs an action, and believers do not understand its wisdom, they still ought not to oppose it by a single thought, seeking to know why He spoke so, or why He did such a thing.

Yet, we have the Operational and Questions.

It is Light

Month, Day: 167, Grandeur, Loftiness (Independence)
Month, Day: 167, Light, Splendour (Glory)

As mentioned, the theme, for the year (and however long it takes), will revolve around en-Light-en-ment which label was thrown on a phase that threw off the old and started anew. Cycles?

The move from the Transcendent group allows another look at this. The start of the Teleological is Light. Words come later, leading to Questions.

Aqdas #186: This is a Book which hath become the Lamp of the Eternal unto the world, and His straight, undeviating Path amidst the peoples of the earth. Say: This is the Dayspring of Divine knowledge, if ye be of them that understand, and the Dawning-place of God’s commandments, if ye be of those who comprehend.

Central notions related to the theme will be discussed using a type of juxtaposition.

Here are examples.
Remarks:

03/21/2011 -- Year 165, Year 166, Year 167, Year 168

09/17/2010 -- God's gift of science.

Enlightenment

Month, Day: 167, Grandeur, Mercy (Glory)

We'll have a theme this year, for several reasons.

For one, last year's was looking at the Groups. Then, we ought to ponder this: prior to the events of the Manifestations, the western world underwent a transformation, of several sorts.

Since there are Teleological implications to consider, we'll let that Group (we're now in the Transcendent) be the focus. As we know, the Group starts with Light which has so many aspects. Actually, just as electromagnetic theory likes its Hilbert notions, so too do the spiritual characteristics exist unbounded.

And, we'll use the American side for focus for this analysis (which age followed en-light-en-ment). Consider, universal education was a tenant (and ideal) of the en-light-en'd Puritanical view.

Also, the whole issue of Audacity (major theme here), and its non-mentor'd parallel (except, the only ones of this state truly are the Manifestations), will be re-framed using metaphorically motivated (another Group) notions from the Enlightenment's contributions as the core.

Note that the temporal flavor is an artifact (which are allowed for illustration, see SAQ and Valley Four) that will be superimposed upon the Writings. Or, is it that the Writings are the superposed? There is more to consider than 'propositional' concerns.

You see, the arguments concerning use of the Writings for foundational purposes remain open to demonstration. How? And, to what extent? And, at what point does there need to be overview through the workings of the Administrative order? Plus, 'light' and its basis, for computation and imagination and more, are on the table.

To what depth can all this be penetrated this year?

Transcendent Knowledge and Power

Month, Day: 167, Beauty, Knowledge (Beauty)
Month, Day: 167, Beauty, Power (Perfection)

Aqdas (#81): O kings of the earth! The Most Great Law hath been revealed in this Spot, this scene of transcendent splendour. Every hidden thing hath been brought to light by virtue of the Will of the Supreme Ordainer, He Who hath ushered in the Last Hour, through Whom the Moon hath been cleft, and every irrevocable decree expounded.

Of interest is to read forward a few more paragraphs, especially the counsel that 'hearts' are of chief interest which seems to be antithetical to those who are wont to wield power over more than their own selves.
