On evolution

Month, Day: Sovereignty, Knowledge (Independence)

Where will audacity take us? Something worth a lot of thought deals with evolution. The SAQ's first section is titled "
ON THE INFLUENCE OF THE PROPHETS IN THE EVOLUTION OF HUMANITY" which starts to lay the groundwork. The fourth section, on "ON THE ORIGIN, POWERS AND CONDITIONS OF MAN", addresses particulars, such as whether or not species modify as is currently expected to be the case for the human race as resulting from a primate forebear.

For instance, in the sense of time, it is said that "since man was produced ten or a hundred thousand years ago from these earthly elements" we can expect that with the same conditions in a "thousand million years" that "exactly the same man will exist."

So, what we can get out of that from the sense of founding an operational view can be an interesting topic. One key issue is that the 'Prophets' are influential by various means; can we know of these and effectively apply that knowledge?

Remarks:

01/25/2011 -- What would be a comprehensive view of this phenomenon?

09/06/2009 -- Essentially, more is undecidable than we like to admit, basically due to our talent for success (ergodicity, essentially) keeps the hubris refreshed (generation by generation).

02/11/2009 -- 1809, year of Darwin and Lincoln.
