Fifty years

Fifty years ago, a couple of months back, I signed the card and became a member of the Faith. Since then, lots of water under all sorts of bridges including those spanning multiple worlds.

A along, sloughing on the religion/science trail. Sometimes, it seemed as if there were no progress as out-of-bound events grabbed attention, energy, and such. Now, we have 'artificial' as a potential savior due to its mysteries being less amenable to review than we would like.

Yet, 'advancing civilization' requires the tools. Stay tuned.

All worlds

Gleanings, LI:O people! I swear by the one true God! This is the Ocean out of which all seas have proceeded, and with which every one of them will ultimately be united. Through His potency the Trees of Divine Revelation have yielded their fruits, every one of which hath been sent down in the form of a Prophet, bearing a Message to God’s creatures in each of the worlds whose number God, alone, in His all-encompassing Knowledge, can reckon. This He hath accomplished through the agency of but one Letter of His Word, revealed by His Pen—a Pen moved by His directing Finger—His Finger itself sustained by the power of God’s Truth.

Will of God

Month, Day: 174, Will, Dominion (Independence)

Gleanings, LXXIII: Just as the conception of faith hath existed from the beginning that hath no beginning, and will endure till the end that hath no end, in like manner will the true believer eternally live and endure. His spirit will everlastingly circle round the Will of God. He will last as long as God, Himself, will last.

 What more could we want?

New Year

Month, Day: 174, Might, Questions (Majesty)

First of all: New Years - 1439 and 5778.

This year, I will be writing more about the moon phases and their influence. There are several motivations for this, including decades of observation and study. Too, I just started to pay attention to the moon focus of Islam's calendar. And, I need to revisit Judaism's approach.

Have to follow up with comments in this blog related to angels. I quit paying attention to the Wikipedia page long ago and came here. One thing that grated was the over-bearing attitude of some of the editors. I'll have to go back and see if things have changed. Not the content of the page, no the comments and re-edits brought about by some seeming to know more than others.

Perhaps, that might be true; however, in these realms, we are to bow to the Writings. That does not mean that someone cannot express an opinion.

Say this today. Had seen it before. But, today, the significance came forward.

• 57. QUESTION: Concerning disparities between certain revealed verses.
      
  ANSWER: Many Tablets were revealed and dispatched in their original form without being checked and reviewed. Consequently, as bidden, they were again read out in the Holy Presence, and brought into conformity with the grammatical conventions of the people in order to forestall the cavils of opponents of the Cause. Another reason for this practice is that the new style inaugurated by the Herald, may the souls of all else but Him be offered up for His sake, was seen to be marked by substantial latitude in adherence to the rules of grammar; sacred verses therefore were then revealed in a style which is for the most part in conformity with current usage for ease of understanding and concision of expression.

Jung and others

Recently, I was browsing and reading about Kant and Jung. It was nice to run into an article about the development of Kant's views. To put him in a timescale, he was born 100 years prior to the Manifestations.

Now, Kant influenced Jung who made great contributions to the study of psychology which is a discipline very much to be influenced by the Writings.

The second post got me to look at the Quran for further study.

And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things. (Surah 65-3)

03/28/2017 -- Changed "versus" to "verses" (which is an example of a Jungian slip). The mind was thinking of the Quran's version versus its modernization.

St. Patrick

Month, Day: 173, Loftiness, Honour (Majesty)

Last of the Motivational (Groups, again). Used to be that St. Patrick's celebration was on this day, Honour. This year it will be on Sovereignty (tomorrow).

St. Patrick? He of the green island. 5th century. Friend of the Irish. Saint of several Christian Faiths. 100 years prior to Mohammed (PBOH). 

So, there have been a couple of posts that remembered the guy.

He has always come to mind this time of the year: was of the Roman times, slaved for several years, was inspired to follow Christ (Apple of the Bab's eye - 2011), had a stint in France, brought Christianity to Ireland.

We just went from the Operational to the Motivational. Might (10th) is the transitional time.

Ascendant, Transcendent

Month, Day: 173, Loftiness, Splendour (Justice)

In the last of the Ascendant, we start with the Transcendent.

The other groups that are facing us are Teleological, Operational, and Motivational.

The first two (Transcendent, Teleological) deal with a Creation-wide view. Then, we get to creatures and ourselves (Operational, Motivational), before winding things up with the lift.
