In a grain of sand

Month, Day: 169, Honour, Dominion (Majesty)
Month, Day: 169, Honour, Loftiness (Independence)

Neil Shubin's book takes a grand sweep in its look at life. Such a view makes one marvel at our power of comprehension. His notion of every speck betraying a hidden compliment would approach (in the limit, if you would) those mentions of the atom: HW 29, Iqan #216, et al.

It's nice to see a scientific viewpoint that is uplifting, even if the WSJ thought it deflating.

Ought we work on a modernization of the argument of the necessity of God, though not in the usual sense? Rather, we either approach via an axiomatic view or through rule set modifications. Then, we ought to be able to show some benefit from the addition of the incomprehensible (either small i or large I, due to choice - small i as operationally useful in the context of intractable situations, large I from the deeper meaning).
